It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update on the progress in the new entry way addition, so I figured it was time for some new pictures.  The tile floor was finished during the first week of December and progress has slowed significantly since then while we’ve waited for the interior doors and trim to come in.

In the last couple of weeks, the shelves have been installed in the new broom/pantry closet and some work has started on the hat shelf in the coat closet also.

The trim also came in last week and was sent to the painter for priming before installation.

The Trim is Here!

Gary cut some of the baseboards to length, but the trim can’t really be completed until the interior doors come in.  The doors were originally supposed to be here a couple of weeks ago and have been delayed about 3 times since then.  The most recent date from the supplier is 30 December, so there’s really not much of a chance that the project will be done by Christmas.  Hopefully things will go pretty quickly once the doors actually come in, though.

In the mean time, we’ve been busy getting ready for the holidays.  As of last weekend, the house is officially decorated and the shopping is done!
